Installation
The SportsPlay 541-636 is designed for permanent in-ground installation.
The manufacturer specifies the following requirements:
- Support Structure: Install the 3.5" bent post and 3.5" support post in prepared concrete footings.
- Post Connection: Secure the bent post to the support post using the supplied T-fitting and socket set screws.
- Installation Reference Height: Maintain 9'8" between the underside of the extension and the finished playing surface.
- Concrete Requirement: Use approximately eight 80-lb. bags of premixed concrete.
- Concrete Drainage: Crown the top of the concrete footing to promote water runoff.
- Concrete Curing: Allow at least 48 hours before using the basketball system for regular play.
- Finished Rim Height: Maintain 10' between the top of the rim and the playing surface.
- Hardware Safety: Eliminate exposed sharp threaded ends and secure all fasteners.
- Routine Maintenance: Periodically inspect for loose bolts or damaged components.

Freight charges and labor costs associated with removing or installing repaired or replacement components are not covered.
Warranty Replacement Parts
Approved warranty repairs or replacements apply to the affected component only, not necessarily the entire product.
For qualifying warranty claims, the defective component may need to be returned. The customer is responsible for applicable return and outbound freight charges.

SportsPlay Shipping & Delivery

Shipping & Handling
SportsPlay shipments are F.O.B. origin, and shipping and handling charges are not included in the product price unless otherwise stated.
Standard freight charges include normal tailgate delivery within the continental United States.

Receiving Your Shipment
Please carefully inspect your SportsPlay shipment before signing for delivery.
Verify that the number of cartons, bundles, frames, pallets, and other pieces received matches the shipping documents.
You should also:
- Inspect the shipment for visible damage.
- Note any visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt.
- Have the delivery driver acknowledge noted damage when applicable.
- Compare the shipment against your order and included parts lists.
- Keep all original shipping cartons and packaging if damage is discovered.
Missing Items & Concealed Damage
SportsPlay's current terms instruct customers to report missing components within 10 days of receipt.
Concealed freight damage should be reported immediately after discovery. SportsPlay states that freight claims for concealed damage will not be honored more than 14 days after delivery.
Because freight carriers may impose shorter reporting deadlines, we strongly recommend inspecting your shipment as soon as it arrives.
Equipment Assembly
Unless otherwise specified, SportsPlay equipment is shipped unassembled.
Assembly instructions and applicable packing lists are included with the shipment.
